Grade 7-Emerald, my son’s section in Pisay, was the first automatic qualifier in the 2018 Paskorus Music Festival, garnering an average rating of 96% in the elimination round, which was held at the 4th Floor Auditorium of the Science and Humanities Building (SHB) earlier in December.
In the past, Paskorus used to be a competition among the different grade levels. The rules changed this year, however, as it now becomes a Music Festival, where all the qualified sections per grade level will showcase their talents for the entire PISAY community to see.
Four special awards were given to the most-deserving performers. Our section won Best in Costume, and we were also told that we placed second in Best in Technique. We were quite privileged to have our class adviser, Ma’am Herminigilda Salac (Ma’am Helen) join her students on stage while they perform “Magkasama Tayo sa Kwento ng Pasko.” I’m also one proud momma here as my son Justin played the beatbox.
Congratulations, Eme! We are so proud of you!
