Hubby booked an overnight stay at Fairmont Makati last February 27. Fairmont Makati is a 5-star luxury hotel located near Philippine Stock Exchange, Ayala Museum and Greenbelt.
Why should you visit this hotel? Well, first and foremost, Fairmont Makati is recognized by the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler as “Best New Hotel” and “Best New Family-Friendly Hotel. ” It also holds consistent high ranking in Trip Advisor and was honored with Travelers’ Choice awards in the Luxury, Top Hotel and Exceptional Service categories.
Our first impression upon entering the hotel lobby was that it smells really good, like freshly laundered sheets, but better, and we liked that a lot! It’s clean, elegant and modern. The staff were also very courteous, friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a Fairmont Guest Room (40 sq. m.) with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide a good view of the Makati skyline. It has a Steams & Foster king-sized bed, large work desk, high-speed Internet connection, interactive flat screen LED TV with 65 cable channels, guest services panel that controls restroom lighting and entertainment, air-conditioning with digital climate control, two telephones with personal voice mail, alarm clocks and international AC adaptor.
Our room also has a mini-bar refreshment center with premium beverages, plus tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Bathrobes and slippers are also provided.
There’s also an iron and ironing board and an in-room safe.
What about the bathroom? Well, it’s a marble spa bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, deep soaker tub and complete bathroom amenities. The towels are made of 100% cotton.
I love these paintings on the wall!
And this was what my son missed, dipping in Fairmont Makati’s lovely pool. He was sick when we went there, so he wasn’t able to swim. Sigh! He requested for an extended time in the bathtub, though.
And because our staycation at Fairmont Makati was short, we had to console our young man with a promise that we’ll be back again soon.
P.S. During our Fairmont Makati staycation, we ate outside the hotel. We had dinner at Manam Comfort Filipino in Greenbelt 2 and breakfast the next day at UCC Mentore Coffee + Bar just across the hotel. Our food trips in these restaurants will be posted soon on Delight My Appetite, so watch out for those.
