Revisiting P.F. Chang’s at Bonifacio Global City

It’s been more than a year since we have last visited P.F. Chang’s at Bonifacio Global City. We were there again earlier this year, May to be exact, to try their other food offerings.

Orange Peel Beef, Php695.00

Hubby ordered Orange Peel Beef. This Sichuan-style US Angus beef is tossed with a mild chili sauce and fresh orange peel. This beef dish was a little sweet, a little sour and a little spicy. Had we known that this was sweet, we could have chosen a different chicken dish to go with it.

Crispy Honey Chicken, Php365.00

Crispy Honey Chicken is lightly battered chicken with sweet sauce, served on a bed of crispy rice sticks. The meat was tender, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Our son had some of this, but he enjoyed those rice sticks more.

P.F. Chang’s Fried Rice, Php200.00

I was glad we ordered P.F. Chang’s Fried Rice because it provided a balance to the sweetness of the beef and chicken dishes that we ordered. It’s fried rice with egg, soy, carrots, bean sprouts and sliced scallions.

From left to right: Tamarind Iced Tea (Php110.00-Refillable), Ripe Mango Smoothie (Php195.00) and Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie (Php195.00)

One thing I liked about P.F. Chang’s is the variety of drinks they have. I knew that their Tamarind Iced Tea is good so that’s what I ordered for our son. Hubby had Ripe Mango Smoothie, which he said was okay, while I settled for a Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie, which was delightfully sweet.

Our family dinner at P.F. Chang’s would have been more pleasant if we had chosen the right combination of food, not all sweet dishes like what we ordered. It was our fault because we didn’t ask. Now we know better. But we really enjoyed the drinks, the ambience and the service.
