At 4:30pm last Saturday, we fetched Justin from Saint Pedro Poveda College where he attended his 3rd session of the MTAP-NCR-DepEd-Metrobank program. MTAP stands for the Mathematics Association of the Philippines. This program brings together mathematically-gifted pupils from different schools, such as La Salle Green Hills, Xavier School, Saint Paul College, Saint Pedro Poveda College, and Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, among others. Students selected for this program had to pay Php450.00 for four MTAP sessions.

Grade 2 participants meet from 12:00pm to 4:30pm every Saturdays for four consecutive Saturdays. However, the third MTAP session was cancelled because of typhoon Yolanda, and the students will have to do a make-up session for that on December 7, 2013. MTAP program participants are required to wear their school uniform or PE uniform and ID.
