Their Linggo ng Wika celebration in school the other week was cancelled because of typhoon Maring. They’re having it today instead. Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 students will be going to school today wearing their Filipino costume. Before the onset of typhoon Maring, we already decided that Justin would be wearing Barong Tagalog. Last Saturday, however, I asked him to go with me to Robinsons Department Store to look for a different Filipino costume. We bought a red Muslim costume, Large, which was the smallest size available in the store. However, we didn’t find the appropriate footwear for this costume, and when Justin tried it on, we realized that it was a little too big for him and we didn’t have time to have it repaired. So we were back to our original plan.

This was what he wore to school today, the same Barong Tagalog that he donned during their Kinder 2 Culminating Activity last March. So what do you think?

That Barong Tagalog looks perfect on Justin mommy Tetcha… and it is classic so it will never go out of style. Perhaps it is a blessing in disguise that the Muslim costume didn’t fit him. But maybe next years, he will be able to fit into it. 🙂
ang pogi ni Justin in his Barong!
That Barong looks expensive 🙂 Bagay na bagay kay Justine.
